Urbaser Ltd has been awarded the Waste Collection and Street Cleansing contract for Dartford Borough Council. The 5-year contract will begin in July 2019 and will see Urbaser providing weekly recycling and garden waste collections and fortnightly residual waste collections to 47,000 properties, as well as an efficient street cleansing service to the borough’s 98,000 residents.
Urbaser will make use of modern ICT systems to support smooth operations in the borough and will utilise a fleet of dedicated vehicles to ensure services are performed on time and to a high standard. Furthermore, once the contract is live Urbaser will invest in the local economy and will provide employment opportunities across a variety of roles for members of the local community.
The award of this contract with Dartford Borough Council strengthens Urbaser’s position in the South East of England, following the recent award of waste collection and street cleansing contracts with Tunbridge Wells Borough Council and Tonbridge & Malling Borough Council.
Mark Pigott, Business Development Manager of Urbaser Ltd, says: “We are very proud to have been awarded this contract in Dartford, and look forward to providing high quality services to Dartford’s residents and communities. We hope to form a long and successful partnership in the borough, providing value for money and excellent services”.
